The final event of the TOXICROP project took place on July 1 and 2 at CIIMAR, bringing together representatives from the consortium (CIIMAR, Universidad D Sevilla, Aarhus University, LIMNOS, CIFGA, NOSTOC, Université Cadi Ayyad, Sohag University, INVEMAR, Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, CEAC, Universidad Nacional de San Agustín de Arequipa, and Científica Peruana) and representatives from invited entities APA, EDIA, INSA, BLUEMATER, FYKIA BIOTECH, LEGE-CC, and ESS – P.PORTO.
Funded by the European Union through the H2020 program, the main objective of the TOXICROP project was to monitor, assess, and improve water treatment processes related to the presence of toxic phytoplankton and cyanotoxins in freshwater.
The project aimed to contribute to the development of guidelines for water management and treatment, promoting more sustainable and safer agriculture in Europe and globally.
