Raquel Vaz completed her degree in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, in 2017, and completed her master degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, in 2019. Since then, she has worked on the development of sensors for diagnosing pathologies that respect the environment, first at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (2019-2020), and then at the University of Coimbra (2021-2024). At the moment, she is finishing her PhD in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, while testing the ecotoxicology and biodegradability of the developed materials, in the CIIMAR BBEH group.
