Dalescka Barbosa de Melo

PhD student

Biologist and Master in Ecology and Conservation from the State University of Paraíba (UEPB), Brazil. She is currently a PhD student in Ecology and Conservation (PPGEC/UEPB) and part of her doctoral research is being carried out at the CIIMAR/U. Porto. Her main interest is in the ecology of benthic macroinvertebrates in estuaries and reservoirs (with a focus on dams for human supply). Besides that, she has sought to understand how the impacts of climate change in terms of extreme drought and heat waves may modulate the thermal and hydrological regimes of ecosystems and its benthic diversity.
