In an increasingly globalized world, eating habits are changing. Is this something to worry about?
Is the fish we consume 100% safe? If it is farmed fish, raised in controlled conditions, is it safe?
What does the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) say about this topic?
Is raw fish not consumed in Portugal?
Which European country has the most health problems related to the consumption of raw fish?
What is the most widely spread parasite transmitted by fish worldwide? How can it be avoided?
Throughout life, our health depends on encounters with pathogenic agents that come through the air, water, or the food we eat. As a result of globalization, all foods are potentially carriers of pathogenic agents and can transmit diseases if not properly handled and prepared. However, eating habits are undergoing profound changes, and new ways of cooking and new foods are emerging every day.
In this conversation, all these issues will be addressed, fostering reflection and joint dialogue.
