Blue Shuttle, an EU-funded project with CIIMAR among its partners, is looking for challenges to accelerate digitalization in the areas of blue biotechnology and marine resources. To this end, the project is opening a call for applications until November 15 for the development of pilot projects of international character to respond to each of the selected challenges.
The challenges can be submitted by any company, startup, project, innovation center, academic institution or any entity operating in the field of the blue bioeconomy in Portugal, Spain, France or Ireland, with the exception of CIIMAR members. The selected projects will have the opportunity to receive customized solutions designed specifically to promote digital innovation, as well as to work directly with international entrepreneurs and innovators.
The challenges should focus on the themes of harvesting, biomass production and bioprospecting, innovation development and product differentiation including transformation technologies, green transition or digital transition, among other areas linked to the blue bioeconomy.
In order to respond to each of the selected ideas, the pilot projects will address their digital and technological requirements for the development of an innovative proof of concept, thus promoting the competitiveness and resilience of the blue bioeconomy sector.
