The visit opened doors for potential collaborations in the fields of renewable energy and environmental monitoring.
On October 31st, CIIMAR hosted a visit from a delegation of the SENAI Institute of Innovation in Renewable Energies (ISI-ER) from Brazil, in an initiative facilitated by INEGI.
The ISI-ER is a leading institution in research and development of innovations for the renewable energy sector, with a special focus on wind and solar energy. Based in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, the institute is dedicated to creating sustainable solutions, particularly in the areas of environmental quality monitoring and marine biodiversity.
The delegation visited Portugal with the aim of establishing connections and exploring new collaboration opportunities with R&D institutions in the country. During their visit to CIIMAR, the institution’s research and development areas were identified as particularly relevant, opening doors for potential future partnerships.
Throughout the day, the delegation had the opportunity to visit several of CIIMAR’s laboratories, as well as the LEGE-CC and the Aquatic Organisms Facility (BOGA). The visit was accompanied by Ana Paula Mucha, a member of the board, and the team from the Technology Transfer and Business Development Office, thereby laying the groundwork for future collaboration between the two institutions.
