Inês Leal has a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Porto (FCUP) (2020) and a master’s degree in Molecular and Microbial Biology from the University of Algarve (2022). She worked as a research fellow at CCMAR-Algarve for two years on a project between Portugal and Angola. She is currently a PhD student at FCUP and will be doing her project at CIIMAR and Águas e Energia do Porto. Her work focuses on bioremediation solutions for the removal of emerging micropollutants in wastewater treatments.
