CIIMAR was officially admitted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) as an observer entity at the Conference of The Parties (COP).
CIIMAR was officially admitted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) as an observer entity at the Conference of The Parties (COP), already actively participating in COP 28 which is taking place in Dubai this month.
In addition to NGO Zero, CIIMAR is the only Portuguese institution admitted as an observer at COP 28.
CIIMAR researcher Irina Gorodetskaya has already landed in Dubai to actively participate in COP 28 as CIIMAR’s delegate. Meanwhile, CIIMAR researcher Ana Gomes is set to take the stage on December 12th, presenting her experience and insights within CIIMAR’s projects that are being carried out in the Arctic.
