Professor Vitor Vasconcelos, President of the CIIMAR board, was one of the guest speakers at the Annual Meeting on Horizon Europe networking and capacity building at the panel Pathways for Research & Innovation.
The event was co-organized by the National Innovation Agency (ANI), Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB) and the Portuguese Space Agency (PTSpace) and took place on October 27, 2023 at Ciência Viva, Pavilhão do Conhecimento, in Lisbon. The session was moderated by Rui Munhá from FCT and Cristiana Leandro from ANI and also included the participation of Nuno Mendonça, Pro-Rector of the University of Coimbra and Joana Costa, Pre-Award Area Manager of the Institute of Molecular Medicine.
After a presentation on CIIMAR’s research structure and the success in funding the FP7, Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe framework programs, there was a debate on how to fund the full research and innovation cycle and take full advantage of Horizon Europe.
