CIIMAR was present at the MicroBiotec23 – Congress of Microbiology and Biotechnology.
CIIMAR was present, through several of its members, at the MicroBiotec23 – Congress of Microbiology and Biotechnology, which took place from December 7 to 9, 2023 at the University of Beira Interior in Covilhã.
Professor Vitor Vasconcelos, President of CIIMAR’s Board of Directors, was a member of the congress’s scientific committee and also presented a keynote lecture at the inaugural session, with several CIIMAR members presenting two oral papers and 12 posters in sessions dedicated to Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology, Food, Health, Emerging Technologies, Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Physiology, Biological Resource Centers, among others.
More than 400 participants attended the three-day congress, fostering interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaboration in the areas of Microbiology and Biotechnology.
