CIIMAR and CMIAS are present at the VERDE PERTO event, dedicated to carbon neutrality.
CIIMAR, CMIA Matosinhos and CMIA Vila do Conde are part of the VERDE PERTO event and are present with activities and a stand dedicated to nature-based solutions that include a phyto-ETAR, and aquariums with algae that play a key role in carbon retention and climate change mitigation.
VERDE PERTO is an event organized by the Matosinhos City Council dedicated to carbon neutrality and promotes environmental workshops, activities for schools and families and a monthly agenda structured around five axes: mitigate, adapt, participate, manage and innovate.
The opening was attended by the Minister for the Environment and Energy, Maria da Graça Carvalho, the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro, the Councillor for the Environment, Manuela Álvares, and the exhibition’s curator, Joana Dias.
The event runs from March to July 2025 at the former Vasco da Gama cannery.
