On November 24 CIIMAR was visited by a group of 14 startups as part of the sixth edition of the Blue Bio Value Acceleration programme promoted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Oceano Azul Foundation in partnership with maze and the BlueBio Alliance. This programme aims to accelerate business opportunities along the value chain of marine bio-resources and blue biotechnology.
The group was made up of companies of various nationalities working in the areas of Algal Biomass, Seafood-based, Cell-based, and Monitoring, with application to various biotechnology sectors.
