CIIMAR researcher Cátia Figueiredo won third place in the PhD Award in Ecology 2023 – Amadeu Dias Foundation, organized by SPECO – Portuguese Society of Ecology, with her thesis focused on the investigation of bioaccumulation, elimination and interaction of rare earth elements (REE) in various marine groups (sponges, fish, bivalves and algae).
These awards highlight the work, in the area of Ecology, that has been developed by recent doctoral graduates throughout their doctoral projects. The winners of this edition will present their work and receive the award at the 22nd National Meeting of Ecology, which will take place from November 23 to 25, 2023, at the University of Algarve.
