From November 24 to 26, the Instituto Pernambuco in Porto will host the 23rd National Ecology Meeting (ENE), organized by SPECO in collaboration with CIIMAR and BIOPOLIS/CIBIO. This event brings together experts and researchers to discuss the challenges and advancements in ecology and conservation.
This year’s theme focuses on the role of ecological research, both fundamental and applied, in addressing environmental crises. Discussions will explore topics such as integrating ecological knowledge into conservation planning, protecting species and ecosystems that are not yet fully understood, and examining the boundaries of the energy transition. The goal is to strengthen the connection between science and society while emphasizing the importance of scientific research in generating knowledge.
The 23rd ENE encourages submissions from all fields of ecology, fostering the exchange of experiences and results among researchers.
