Speakers biographies

Ana Cavadas – Ana Cavadas has over a decade of experience in knowledge transfer and innovation management. At CIIMAR’s Technology Transfer and Business Development Office, she specialises in intellectual property management, R&D commercialisation, stakeholder liaison, market-driven research and entrepreneurship. She contributes to the development of CIIMAR’s Tech Platforms, strengthening the centre’s involvement in European Research Infrastructures. As Local Access Officer for EMBRC-PT, she manages key Transnational Access projects – AQUASERV, AQUARIUS and IRISCC, facilitating international collaboration. Ana holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and a post-graduation in Business Process Engineering and Management, both from the University of Porto.

Ana Margarida Amaral – Ana Margarida Amaral holds a PhD in Marine Biology and has over 15 years of experience as a Scientific Officer and Research Infrastructure Manager. She manages access to scientific research infrastructures for several European projects at CCMAR, including AQUAEXCEL3.0, AQUASERV, IRISCC, AQUARIUS, and AGROSERV, and serves as Liaison Officer at EMBRC Portugal. Ana specializes in facilitating access to marine resources and advanced technologies, translating scientific knowledge for academia, industry, and stakeholders, while ensuring centralized services that comply with regulatory, ethical, and integrity standards.
