Description

This training aims to enhance mental health literacy, strengthen community psychological resilience, and promote effective response strategies in psychological crisis situations.

 

Specific aims

It aims to equip staff with the skills to prevent and identify risk situations within the academic community.

The training includes informational sessions on recognizing signs and symptoms of psychological distress and facilitating quick response mechanisms and resources.

It also explores how to provide support in crisis situations through psychological first aid (e.g., handling panic attacks in classrooms or common areas) and assisting individuals experiencing psychological crises.

 

Instructor

Filipa Rebelo (Psychologist from the U.Porto Mental Health Promotion Team).

Filipa Rebelo, Master’s in Clinical and Health Psychology and Postgraduate in Sports Psychology. Member of the Crisis Intervention Psychologists’ Fund of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Order since 2019. She currently participates in the mental health promotion program at the University of Porto, mainly focusing on interventions in psychological health issues and crisis situations.
