In 2024, there are four students conducting research at CIIMAR highlighted by the Young Researchers Meeting of the University of Porto.
On June 17th, the University of Porto organized the award ceremony for the best presentations at the 17th edition of IJUP. Of the 68 students awarded across the University for the quality of their work, four are students conducting their research at CIIMAR: André Silva, Marta Rojais, Jéssica Leite, and Ksenija Vuckovic.
Their projects include the use of microalgae and cyanobacteria in agriculture, risk assessment of anti-fouling agents, the study of the effect of metformin on aquatic species, and decoding of bioaerosols in Antarctica.
