CIIMAR spin-off Fykia Biotech won 3rd place in the Startups category of the 929 Challenge competition and received the “Best Connection with China and PSC” award.
Fykia Biotech was represented by CIIMAR researcher Ana Rita Vieira, who presented a pitch on the development of biofertilizers based on microalgae with applications in situations of salt stress.
