The General Assembly of the Blue Bioeconomy Pact consortium, led by INOVAMAR, showcased significant progress and future ambitions in marine resource utilization.
On June 19th, another General Assembly of the Blue Bioeconomy Pact consortium, led by INOVAMAR and financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), took place.
The event was attended by representatives from the consortium, as well as Tiago Pitta e Cunha, President of the Oceano Azul Foundation, and José Soares dos Santos, President of the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation.
During the assembly, significant progress was reported in the work on the seven verticals and three horizontals of the Blue Bioeconomy Pact, with particular emphasis on WP9 – Portuguese Blue Biobank, coordinated by CIIMAR.
The Blue Bioeconomy Pact aims to establish a sustainable and innovative paradigm, utilizing marine resources to address the global scarcity of terrestrial resources and drive the development of new products and processes with a positive impact on the environment, consumer lives, and national exports.
