Researcher at Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere – IPMA, I.P. Scientific research in the field of food science and technology applied to fishery/marine products (wild and farmed), studying several aspects: i) quality, namely: sensory properties, physicochemical and biological characteristics; ii) quality changes during handling, processing and storage, shelf life studies. Current research interests covers the development of sustainable healthy seafood, namely the production of cell-based fish fillets. Author or co-author of peer-reviewed articles. Participation in several national and international R&D projects. Supervisor of PhD and MSC students.
