Ana Sofia Lavrador holds a MSc degree in Aquatic Biological Resources and is finishing her PhD in Molecular and Environmental Biology, where she worked on the use of environmental DNA for monitoring non-indigenous species in coastal ecosystems. She is currently working at the Coastal Biodiversity Laboratory at CIIMAR, gathering monitoring and management requirements for Marine Protected Areas. She has a strong interest in the conservation and preservation of aquatic ecosystems and biodiversity.
