Joana Cardoso has a BSc in Chemistry from the Faculty of Science, University of Porto, and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto. She is currently a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto, with a thesis related to a multidisciplinary project to overcome antifungal resistance. It involves the design and synthesis of novel siderophore-antifungal conjugates with new central scaffolds to provide an effective and durable response to multidrug-resistant pathogens.
