Mariana Ferreira graduated in Biochemistry (BSc) in 2016 from University of Porto (FCUP) and holds a Master’s degree in Microbiology granted by University of Lisbon (IST). She is currently a PhD student of the Doctoral Programme in Animal Science (ICBAS, University of Porto), under a FCT grant. She is developing her research work at LANUCE and at Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, Nord University (Norway). Her thesis is focused on the impacts of functional diets with micro- and macroalgae on the fish gut microbiota, intestinal health, immune status and overall performance.
