I am a biologist (FCUL) and still as an honors student I got into fish physiology, thermotolerance and swimming performance in particular. Later on, I focused my interest and gained experience in Aquaculture and went on Master studies in Aquaculture in Barcelona. Lately, I went on a PhD in Animal Science (ICBAS-UP) specialized in Nutrition and focused on the effect of dietary protein on myogenesis and growth potential in fish larvae, working between CCMAR, ICBAS and CIIMAR. I am currently a post-doc in Madeira, where I work mostly on fish nutrition, particularly on the evaluation of new ingredients potential to promote growth performance, but also quality and robustness.
