Tatiana Afonso, a Genetics and Biotechnology graduate, is pursuing a master’s in Comparative and Technological Molecular Genetics. Currently, she is working in Dr. Luísa Valente’s group on the ‘Stop Parasites’ project, under the supervision of Drs. Sónia Gomes and Andreia Silva. Her research focuses on molecular biology to ensure the safety of seafood products for consumers, using more advanced molecular approaches.
