The PONDERFUL project has won the “Audience Award” with the short film “The Importance of Ponds”
The PONDERFUL project has won Braga Science Film Fest‘s “Audience Award” with the short film “The Importance of Ponds”.
There were 80 short films competing for the public vote at the Braga Science Film Fest, an international science short film festival.
Among the competitors was the short film produced in the context of the PONDERFUL project “The Importance of Ponds”, which can now be seen in 10 different languages on the YouTube channel.
This project is funded by the Horizon 2020 project and is developed by CIIMAR’s Environmental and Social Sustainability Office.
The construction of new ponds is crucial to reversing the global trend of declining aquatic and pond biodiversity and guaranteeing the provision of important ecosystem services. This video reveals valuable and simple information on how and where to create new ponds in the landscape.
