CIIMAR hosts a visit of a delegation from Fórum Macau

Last Friday, 16^th June, CIIMAR hosted the visit of a delegation from the Permanent Secretariat Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-Speaking Countries (Fórum Macau).  Fórum Macau is a platform for intergovernmental cooperation that focuses on economic and commercial development and acts as a kind of bridge between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries. Due to Forúm Macau’s interest in the area of Blue Economy and ocean related research, the visit aimed to showcase the work and research carried out by CIIMAR, as well as to strengthen ties and establish the basis for future partnerships with Forúm Macau. CIIMAR work were presented by our researcher and member of the board, Professora Luísa Valente. Doctor Cristina Calheiros also presented several examples of works that have been developed with the Macau communities and stakeholders to deepen CIIMAR’s relationship with China.

This visit was attended by several members of this delegation including its Secretary General.
