Hugo Ribeiro obtained in 2013 a Biomedical Sciences PhD degree from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar of University of Porto. He is a researcher at CIIMAR, with participation in several research projects, such as Coral, SpilLess, MarinEye, Nitrotox, Nitrosul, Phytobio and Raceways. Currently, his main research interests focus on the microbial ecology related to the degradation of petroleum hydrocarbon compounds, more specifically the interactions with N Cycle processes. Hugo is the author of 12 scientific papers published in international journals.
