CIIMAR’s president of the board invited to take part of the Advisory Board of the Portuguese Network for Marine Bioresources and Biotech.
The president of CIIMAR’s Board of Directors was invited to take part of the Advisory Board of BlueBio Alliance, the Portuguese Network for Marine Bioresources and Biotech.
BlueBioAlliance is a national network that includes all subsectors of the marine bioresources value chain in Portugal. It ranges from raw material producers and R&D units to biotech SMEs, transforming centers and manufacturers, public sector entities and support companies, up to the final consumer product developers.
CIIMAR has been a member of BlueBio Alliance and has played a role in its leadership, with Vitor Vasconcelos serving as Executive Director during the 2019-2020 term. The next step involves taking on an active role as part of the Advisory Board. This contribution allows CIIMAR to contribute with knowledge and know-how to marine biotechnology and sustainable use of bioresoureces, to the scientific work in marine sciences but also to the design of science policies regarding Marine resources.
